History Clifton Bible Chapel has occupied its current address for over 25 years. Prior to that, meetings were held in a rented play school in Grand Junction. The original building, an old house that had been moved to the corner of 32 Road and Kennedy Ave. and placed on a basement, was purchased in 1978. This house served as a meeting place for several years. In the mid 1980's, a major remodel was begun. The current auditorium and foyer were added and the old house was then converted to several meeting rooms. The building took on a more traditional "church" appearance and was able to seat about 200 in its auditorium. Although functionally the building worked nicely, the old house (originally built in the 1960's) was in dire need of a remodel. Work began on that portion of the building in the early 1990's. The house was gutted and completely remodeled. The result was a much more functional, updated space that provided much needed facilities for Sunday School classes, meetings, social events and eating. Today the building is well suited to meet the needs of the Christians who gather there. It is our desire that God may be glorified through each activity that takes place in this facility and we welcome you to join us!
Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. |
